By the end of the course participants will:
Have improved awareness of below ground infrastructure
Improved understanding of scheme promoter/designer responsibilities
Awareness of statutory undertaker’s concerns, priorities and drivers during scheme interface works
Ability to identify risks and consequences for direct and indirect utility impacts
Be aware of the project costs, timescales and risk profiled for interfaces with utilitis
Typical construction controls during planning and actual works
Principles and drivers for site investigations
Trainer
Denys has 25 years of experience in highways and specialises in the field of utility “asset protection”. Denys has represented utility companies, provided support to scheme promoters to identify and quantify impacts of schemes on utility networks and assisted in developing mitigation measures to deliver projects. He currently works for Thames Water.
